Day 2

In the early morning, fog hangs in the valley making for one of the most spectacular sunrises you will ever see. Take the time to appreciate the magic of stillness and calm as the golden light trickles through the towering forest trees and take an enjoy an early morning bush walk that will ignite your senses and invigorate your body. Breakfast time at Waypoints Café & Tours serves tasty, seasonal food and drinks to nourish the active and adventurous. With delicious burgers, paninis, raw treats and smoothies such as our favourite, the ‘King Jarrah’ you will feel like you are ready to tackle any adventure; like the Fast Water Rafting^ you’re about to experience with Dwellingup Adventures

Fast Water Rafting

You’ll leave your vehicle at Waypoints Café and Dwellingup Adventures will drive you to the drop off point at Yarragil campsite. You enter the more popular section which includes passing a number of popular riverside camp spots. Your first rapid just above Stringers campsite is a short, wide centre-of-river run. From here the river winds along forest lined banks through some narrow fast-moving channels until you reach the featured Grade 2 rapid at Island Pool. The lightness of your inflated raft allows you to easily carry your raft back above the rapid where you can shoot the rapid multiple times. Dwellingup Adventures collect your raft and equipment at 3pm from Bobs Crossing.

Paddle and Picnic (^if Fast Water Rafting is seasonally unavailable at time of booking).

Park your vehicle at the finish point and Dwellingup Adventures will transport you and your canoe up-river to Island Pool (6kms). Spend the rest of the day picnicking, paddling and swimming as you meander downstream through the beautiful Murray River Valley to Baden Powell Water Spout (Dwaarlindjirraap) where they collect your canoe at 3pm.

Day 3

After a good night's sleep and awakening to the sounds of the birds and the gentle sounds of nature, stretch the body out and get ready to explore the secrets of Dwellingup

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the iconic Blue Wren Café, located in the heart of the town, before you breathe in the fresh smell of fresh pine and jarrah trees as you swing, leap and wobble high above the forest at Treetops Adventure Dwellingup. Located inside Lane Poole Reserve, you’ll experience soaring aerial obstacles reaching up to 25 metres high that’ll have you flying and laughing with the kookaburras as you push yourself to greater heights!

Lunch time! Hidden amidst the lush, colourful trees and edible gardens of Lost Eden Creative is Garden Eats. Here, you’ll find a quaint café serving plant-based and gluten-free food from a rustic food van that was a horse float in another life. The menu is ever changing, produce is sourced locally and is fresh, healthy and delicious. Authentic soul food.

Taking in the last of the scenery, you can feel your soul re-energising and your mind becoming clear, before it is time to take the leisurely drive back through the winding, country roads – towards home.
